You would never leave your car unlocked in a busy parking lot with your life’s savings in the back. So you should take another look at how you think about your identity. It’s understandable that you don’t think about it. It’s not as tangible as physical money or valuables, but it is just as, if not more, important to protect. Identity protection is much more vital to your safety than you think

The bad things that can happen to you when you are without backup can be staggering.

  • You can not only lose money, but you can be fully responsible for what happens with that money. There is a paper trail leading directly back to you.
  • It doesn’t take a super genius to steal your identity. Anyone can do it though many different channels; way too many for you to personally monitor. Identity Protection can monitor all of those possibly weak areas for you.
  • It can destroy not only your credit, but it can wreck your future all together. Without the proper protection, someone can go around for years pretending to be you — using your credit, money, and your face.

Minimum .33 Cents Per Day To Avoid Identity Theft Calamity

The U.S. News posted an article that did this odd thing. It argued against having an identity protective service. But pointed out how necessary protection is, “Identity theft has been the No. 1 consumer complaint for 14-straight years, according to the Federal Trade Commission, but it seems identity theft has grown to a contagion-level threat with recent large-scale data breaches. ”

Then there’s a story from Tyler Cohen Wood, cyber branch chief of an intelligence agency under the Department of Defense, who said its pennies to save the hassle and provide peace of mind. Her friend had a nightmare situation that took years of stress and attention to the world of red tape to deal with.

When Identity Theft Happens It’s In A Spectrum Of Severity

Sometimes it’s just a lost and stolen credit card and someone had a good guess about your zip code and could use it! And you see it within a month on your statement and you call you bank. You verify you did not make those purchases and off they go. identity theft

Sometimes an identity theft takes you whole life, in essence. It’s possible for someone to get a car loan in your name, and then not pay it! Steal the car, and leave you dealing with the debt.

Catching the theft QUICK is key to minimizing damage. Unchecked, you are shark bait. Good Luck!

The argument against getting identity theft protection is that you can check your credit yourself. And you can! But you’ll be hard pressed to find a frequent credit check that’s free. Then you need to interpret the information; deal with it. In those 15 minutes you could have made 3.33 dollars, working at minimum wage. Instead you saved .33 cents.

This is my favorite argument for buying in…if everyone had professional identity theft protection then desperate people considering this option will be far, far less likely to do it…because every person they targeted would be alerted right away of the new activity. Then the most desperate could get savvy and innovative, except the money is in the hands of the super hero…staying one step ahead of them as a full-time job. Don’t you have other jobs to do? Rather than worry about potential delinquent behavior of imperfect strangers?

Our World Would be Safer If Identity Theft Were A Given For Everyone

The fact that it’s out there and that’s well known…is a deterrent to the crime. Sure, you could piggy-back on that…forget to check all your information, accounts and WA la!

If people checked their credit themselves…open new PO boxes in a different zip code to associate with their accounts…there is a hassle and a likelihood that it wouldn’t get done! Because it’s not an imminent  threat, right? You cannot see identity thieves…and with so much shark bait it’s an intriguing option of getting away with it

identity theft

It’s an act of common courtesy. It’s job creation for families. It’s a bill that you can automate, NEVER think about it…and it builds credit all while you aren’t looking.

ID theft. Ever heard of it? Probably. Ever run into an issue with it? Maybe not. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t still run into this problem in the future. No one ever really plans on getting their identity stolen, it sort of just happens out of the blue. More then 15 Million people suffer from identity theft annually. If only there was some sort of ID Theft Protection service that could help keep you from losing everything in your name…oh wait, there is. It’s called Ultimate Identity Protection, and it’s the real deal. But we’ll get to that later. Still don’t think you need to protect your identity? Think again.

Even The Big Dogs Need ID Theft Protectionmarissa mayer - id theft protection

It’s true, even the heads of major companies fall in danger of ID theft. I mean, it makes sense, right? Wealthy, powerful people. You would think that would basically make them the perfect target for identity theft. Not only can ID theft happen to regular people, through things such as stolen credit cards, pick pocketing, and stolen mail, but it happens to large businesses and corporations as well.

In previous years, Yahoo has never really run into huge security issues, but decided to take precautions anyways. In 2014, Yahoo had spent $26,891 in security costs on CEO Marissa Mayer. That may not seem like a large number, but wait until you hear about the drastic jump Yahoo made in protecting their CEO’s identity.

Flash forward to 2015. Yahoo had seen an increase in of security threats and decided to really up their game. Marissa Mayer had her identity and security protected by having Yahoo bump up their budget. Yahoo spent about $544,061 to make sure the CEO was safe and secure.

Why is ID Theft Protection Important?

I think it was made pretty obvious right here. No one, not even CEO’s of major companies and corporations are safe from having their identity stolen. It just goes to show you how important it really is that you invest in a service that can protect you from all threats, with a number of awesome extra benefits.

The threat of losing your identity is something that is growing. Attackers are becoming smarter, and are finding new ways to steal your identity. You need to be ready to stop this from happening. The number of attacks happening within companies is alarming, and they need to step up their protection, in order to save identities from being stolen.

Losing your identity is very serious, and this can be done in so many ways: from your mail, getting pick pocketed, or even stealing your credit card. Those are just a few of the ways that someone can steal your identity. This takes away everything that you have. Luckily there is a method to all of this madness, and it’s investing in ID theft protection.

ID Theft Protection: It Works!

Investing in something like ID theft protection might sound crazy, but it’s one of the smartest things to do. Your identity is basically your life, and without it, you have nothing! More than 15 Million people suffer from ID theft annually, and nearly 100 Million Americans are at risk of having their identity stolen! lock and key ID theft protection

There are so many ways you can start protecting what’s important to you. LifeLock is one of the leading providers for ID theft protection, and is just one of many services out there. The best way to lower the risk of attacks on identity, is to consider these 5 actions:

  • Detect and block attacks that target known vulnerabilities – If you know what some of your weak spots already are, begin there by upping the protection levels.
  • Deploy security solutions that mitigate automated attacks – Know the difference between a human and a bot.
  • Learn from peers – If your business is similar to one that has had ID theft issues, learn from them.
  • Consider multiple layers of security to protect data – Rely on more than just an ID theft protection service, and use other services that work hand in hand with it.
  • Attack distribution is burst-oriented and far from consistently distributed – There’s not always a pattern to follow, you have to always be prepared for worst case scenarios.

With ID theft growing to be a big problem for companies, you need to always be aware of your surroundings. Keeping an eye out for the protection of your identity is key. But just being aware isn’t going to be enough. To sign up for ID theft protection, click here!

How the New Credit Card Chip Technology Will Support ID Theft

Businesses have to be keen on this new development in the financial stratosphere when you’re thinking about it, for plenty of reasons. Aside from the fact that the transition to credit card chip technology will incorporate a nationwide spread of new card-reading machines (more investment for businesses, unfortunately), there’s one other subject companies everywhere would love to learn more about: identity theft.

Will This New Credit Card Chip Technology Protect More?

Good question. This doesn’t just revolve around the consumer, but the business. Ever lend your business credit card to the intern? Not a smart move…. You can imagine just how important it is to ensure that credit card fraud never steps foot into your business, and the concept of someone stealing somebody’s information — either customer, client, or business — is earth-shattering at best.

However, the computer chip raises a beautiful question. Hackers don’t care. A chip can be hacked into. credit card chip technology-1But everyone’s saying that this new credit card chip technology’s going to change the landscape as far as credit card fraud and ID theft is concerned (it’s already happening a ton overseas where EMV’s been changing the way people spend money).

Here’s why credit card chip technology will make things better — the main problem with the magnetic strip credit card is the fact that the strip holds all the data and it never changes. That means if anyone ever gets a hold of your one little strip (they don’t even need to steal the card) and copies it (that’s really all they need to do), you can go about your life still having your card (no one stole it!) while some ID thief runs around with a copycat card, spending all your money.

That magnetic strip is a prime target for ID theft.

What the computer chip-enabled card does, however, is allow the user to swipe it, have the machine read it; and the chip itself develops a unique ‘transaction code’ that can never be used again. It, therefore, means, you can buy 15 separate candy bars, the card will read it 15 separate times, and each time will be virtually unique from every other time.

Not one thief would be able to steal your information. Each transaction is encoded through the chip and never gets stored anywhere. It’s processed and then dies a lovely death in cyberspace, basically. Therefore, your information can’t ever be pulled from the card.

Of Course, These ID Thieves Are Resourceful!

The hope is the new credit card chip technology will change the way credit card fraud happens. As in never. But the problem with ID theft is there’s always a way. It’s like that bad penny always turning up. The good news is that this new development will certainly make it easier for Ultimate Identity Protection and other partners to do what they do best. Protect your identity.

How #IDTheft  Can Turn a Sweet Pregnant Lady Into a Professional Killer

Sound outlandish? It really isn't. Just take a look at this particular story, and you'll be wowed in ways you never thought possible.

Meet Nicole McCabe, a woman living in Israel and six months pregnant with her husband. Life was good; the baby was going to be born very soon — that is, until she heard on the radio that was one of 26 assassins potentially responsible for the death of Hamas chief Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, a war criminal wanted by the Israeli government for arms dealing and murder.

You can imagine pregnant McCabe nearly falling to the floor over hearing THAT one. How can identity theft explain this one? That's easy.

More investigations were carried to find out that the REAL culprit had stolen 26 passports from individuals at an airport and gave one to each assassin for entrance into Dubai for the hit job. McCabe's passport was one of them.

Even though the truth was discovered, it was still a scary thought, being implicated in the murder of a notorious war criminal. Think about it. McCabe could walk into a KMart, followed by a bunch of thugs, and then killed on the spot as vengeance for her heinous hit job of murdering such a crime boss.

Don't get us wrong, it sounds cool — but not when it involves an unborn child. Just saying.

Yes, With #IDTheft, You Now Can Be LEGALLY Married to Multiple People!

We wouldn't advise that as a good idea, though…. After all, you not only would have legal repercussions, but PERSONAL ones as well. Still, you could be the hapless victim like one Rosa Vargas of Queens, NY, who found out, much to her dismay, that she was actually married to two men, one from Mexico, and one from Ecuador.

And to make it even worse, she was filing for marriage with the city clerk only to be denied after finding out. That's not something you want to have to break to your fiance. Of course, you can just go to another district and file there, because there wouldn't be similar records anywhere else. The couple got married (even though she was legally married to two other men. One from Mexico, and the other from Ecuador. Just wanted to repeat that one more time.).

The story didn't stop there, though, as Vargas received divorce papers five years later from the Ecuadorian husband she never met. It was later found out that Vargas had lost her birth certificate a decade and a half ago, and within that time, her information was utilized TWICE — by two different women. Probably as a way to scam for immigration and allow those women into the U.S.

The sad thing is while Vargas eventually was able to get those fake marriages removed legally, she has since discovered that she's, in fact, married to a third man in Long Island. At least it's nowhere near Mexico or Ecuador.

How to Make Sure Identity Theft Doesn’t Drain Your Bank Account

7 Aug , 2015

Identity theft is rampant these days. Anyone with a computer and enough gall can accomplish it, regardless of their intellectual prowess, and so bank accounts are being ruptured – and drained – with alarming regularity, but it is preventable with such services as LifeLock or Identity Guard.

Be Aware of Identity Theft: From the Moment of Inquiry

The next time someone asks you for your phone number, full name, or financial information, stop and identity theft-1ask yourself why do they need to know this? Then, stop and ask the person inquiring – why do you need to know this?

Identity thieves ask for important information, knowing that more often than not they will get a thoughtless, automatic response. So be vigilant about who you hand that information out to, and you might save yourself a lot of trouble.

Keep an Eye On Your Snail Mail, Without a Doubt

One method of identity theft is to take mail directly out of a mailbox. Don’t make it easy for them. Always drop your mail off at the post office instead of leaving it in your mailbox, and when you go on vacation, make sure you have your mail held instead of letting it pile up for thieves to take.

Don’t leave bills lying around where anyone can see them, and keep your personal information, such as credit cards, stored away safely.

Best of All, Watch the Internet, Because the Internet Watches You!

Most identity theft occurs online. Be smart about online financial transactions. Install firewalls and make sure the sites you’re spending money on are secure sites. Use creative passwords – random sequences of letters and numbers work best – and don’t give your financial information to just anyone

It’s hard to stop a criminal once they set their mind to committing a crime. But you can make yourself less likely to be a victim, and safeguard your financial well-being, credit history, and identity by being vigilant with the ultimate identity protection. As a result, you end up making sure you’re the only one spending your money.
